Steps to Apply for Funding
1 Download the application
Determine which application fits your project and download the application appropriate for your funding and project type.
STBG/CMAQ/SNK Roadway
- Ohio Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Roadway Projects
- Ohio Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ) Projects
- Kentucky Surface Transportation Block Grant for Northern Kentucky (SNK) Roadway Projects
STBG/CMAQ/SNK Freight
- Ohio Surface Transportation Block (STBG)
- Ohio Congestion Mitigation Air Quality (CMAQ)
- Kentucky Surface Transportation Block Grant for Northern Kentucky (SNK)
STBG/CMAQ/SNK Bicycle-Pedestrian
Bicycle-Pedestrian Projects such as multi-use paths and sidewalks. Bicycle-Pedestrian projects requesting $1,000,000 or less in Ohio, or $650,000 or less in Kentucky, should use the application for Transportation Alternatives (TA) funding.

STBG/CMAQ/SNK Transit
Transit Projects such as bus purchases or transit facilities.

Transportation Alternatives (TA)
These funds can be used be for on and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-drive access to public transportation and enhanced mobility
STBG/SNK Repaving Pilot Program
Simple mill and fill type roadway resurfacing projects requesting $800,000 or less.
2 Complete the application and save the file locally.
3 Submit your funding application
Complete the STBG/CMAQ/SNK/TA Submission Form and submit the appropriate documents and application.
4 Confirmation email
A confirmation email, with links to your uploaded files, will be sent to the Contact Email address. Please note large file sizes may exceed email attachment limitations and prevent you from receiving the confirmation email.
