Who We Are
Our Groundwater Committee advises the OKI Board on a variety of water issues. Formed in 1988, it also promotes coordinated groundwater management across local political boundaries. In addition, the committee supports utility service areas in Southwest Ohio, where more than two-thirds of a million people rely on the Great Miami Buried Valley Aquifer for their drinking water.
OKI manages the committee as part of the federal Clean Water Act.
