Paid Internships

OKI offers paid internships throughout the year with meaningful work assignments and projects. Opportunities exist on our Regional Planning team that focus on Environmental Planning, Land Use, and Water Quality. We seek students in Urban or Regional Planning, Environmental Science, or related degrees. Work-related experience is helpful but not required. Set remote and in-office working days. Flexibility in work schedules. 37.5 hour work week.

Our Purpose and Culture

Our purpose is a simple and sincere one: to make this region a better place to live for everyone. We began as a go-between to help the region get federal funds for highways. We still do this today. But we are also a forum for our members to share transportation, environmental, economic, and other challenges for which causes and solutions cross political boundaries.

Music Hall

This architectural gem is home to the Cincinnati Symphony and Pops Orchestra, Cincinnati Ballet and Cincinnati Opera. Built in 1878, it features two tiers of balconies and an ornate ceiling with decorative panels that give it a particular charm.

Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden

The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden is famed for its hippos, white Bengal tigers and gorillas. A visit to the zoo is a full-day experience, with rides, a 4D theater, animal encounters and magnificent gardens.

Findlay Market

Findlay Market, which has been around since 1855, is a local landmark, where vendors gather to sell locally grown produce and artisan products. It is the central connection between Cincinnati’s Uptown and Downtown.

James Brown Mural

The mural pays homage to James Brown and his early recording years at King Records. This is one of hundreds of murals in Greater Cincinnati and the Northern Kentucky region. The murals are created by ArtWorks youth apprentices and local professional artists.
